The activity of one of the most visited museums in the world unfolds into a ballet of art.

It was 1900 and the great Universal Exposition opened its doors in Paris, on the occasion of which Victor Laloux inaugurates the Parisian station known as the gare d'Orsay, destined to have a short life, in the 1950s it fell into disuse and only in 1986 the Italian architect Gae Aulenti designs the Orsay Museum there.
This museum has now become one of the most visited in the world with 10 thousand visitors a day and 3.5 million every year who flock to admire the 100 thousand works exhibited in its 66 rooms.
A "museum [which] puts all its human resources into motion so that the beauty and secret stories of the collections make their triumphal entry onto the art show scene".
Bruno Ulmer's documentary, which aired for the first time in Italy in 2016 and now available in streaming on RayPlay, follows the museum staff in the preparation of the exhibition on the second empire, where the pomp of the Napoleon III regime is destined to shine once again, bringing to light some masterpieces and thus starting the "great ball of art's works". The art is compared to a dance ballet and it is no coincidence that the staging of the opera will also be hosted in the museum.
The art show is joined by the restoration of some of the museum's major works and the loan and return steps of the art works for exhibitions hosted by other museums, including Japanese and Korean institutions.
The art show ends with a series of zooms on the details of the major Impressionist works hosted by the museum, including Manet's inimitable Breakfast on the Grass.
Certainly interesting documentary despite the fact that its plot proceeds in a slow and not totally engaging way in a few minutes of his story.
